EA or RD

Is it better to apply early action or regular decision to Notre Dame if you feel that it is a reach school and that your grades may not be up to par with the other applicants?

I've heard EA is for only the most competitive students. In your case, if ND is a reach, I'd go RD.

Good luck, and hopefully we'll both make it into Notre Dame.

whoopigsooie is right. ea does not really help your chances and it is only for people in the top of the applicant pool who want to know early if they get in or not. ea is not just for people whose first choice is notre dame.

thank you!

Email your admissions advisor and get his opinion. He'll be honest.

Ive heard this scenario many many times. In fact, I was this scenario, and im in right now. Im at Coleman Morse Center on the south quad right now, so there is hope for you. Apply RD. EA would surely be a rejection b/c they use that to accept candidates that are at the very very top who are almost gauranteed a spot, and want a decision by December.

Ahh, COMO, I love that place. Then again, I live right by it so I am over there a decent amount
