is there a limit on how many EA applications one can file ( not refering to Restrictive EA like Harvard, Princeton Yale or Stanford)

Depends on each school’s policy. If none of the schools you apply to have an EA policy that prohibits you from applying EA to other schools, then you could apply EA to as many as you want. I applied EA to two schools, as neither was restrictive in any way.

Check the policies of all the schools you want to apply to, but if none of them have any restrictions then you can apply to as many as you want (this year I applied to half my schools early, 4 EA and 4 RD). The only thing besides possible restrictions that would hold you back is the number of supplemental essays which could make your life hell if you try to get tons of them done at the same time.
