EAers -- where will you open the email?

Butternut you hit it on the head. The more we wait the better the moment is. and in retrospect, it's quite meaningless - a few days.

Guys ...

Chicago already gave us a date: Dec. 15.

Check this post: <a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-chicago/612688-admission-deceision-will-here-no-later-than-15th.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-chicago/612688-admission-deceision-will-here-no-later-than-15th.html</a>.

Stop worrying! For all we know, they've probably made decisions for most applicants by now ... they're probably just working on the ones that had late credentials. There's nothing we can do but sit and wait.

Read this ... it should help: <a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/yale-university/612315-yale-people-listen-up.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/yale-university/612315-yale-people-listen-up.html</a>. It helps, not just for Yale people!

^No later than. That means it could be ANY time before the 15th. Like now. Or 15 minutes from now. Or 15 hours from now. Or 3 days from now. Etc.

I will open the decision likely with someone else present, so that I can get a degree of emotional consolation...

I can't decide whether I want to check my email during the school day tomorrow/Monday or not. On one hand, I want to know as soon as I can, but on the other, I don't want to have to then get through the rest of the day and tests and people's questions if I don't get in...

I know I'll be obsessively checking my email tommorow. I don't know if I can handle waiting the weekend!!!

So I guess Chicago isn't going to give us a date then? They'll just be expecting us to check our emails without warning?

How likely do you guys think it will be tomorrow on Friday?

i will be sitting in front of my computer hysterically crying or just looking at it shell shocked

i have been very calm throughout the college process thus far. HOWEVER, I am going to loose it if I don't hear from one of my two earliers ( UChicago obviously one of them) by tomorrow. Like loose it. Go crazy. ack.

note: i am exagerating.. kinda

I'll still hold onto my December 15 prediction and I shall remain as calm as I can.

(GRR CHICAGO HURRY UP!!! BROWN, DARTMOUTH, COLUMBIA, AND CORNELL ALREADY RELEASED DECISIONS. IF THE PEOPLE WHO APPLIED TO THOSE SCHOOLS ALREADY GOT THEM, WE SHOULD TOO.)

Guess the world isn't very fair...

I was told by my friend, who's currently a UChicago student (he has a girlfriend who's involved with international Chinese applicants there), that decisions will be released Saturday. Or so word around campus says.

Anyway, Saturday appears to be the date, though I don't know for sure.

Hmm... How reliable are those rumors...

speaking of crazy rumors, the georgetown thread has like 5 different sources who "know people in the adm. office" and all have different stories. so idk if i believe anyone.

What? Saturday? The admissions office opens on Saturdays? Why can't we just get our decisions tomorrow...

Well at least Chicago will come up with an email saying "click here to find your decision"; UMich just sent me an email titled "Your Admissions Decision" and I saw "CONGRATULATIO--" in the subject header. Not complaining but if it were not an acceptance, that would kind of suck.

cornell came out today. im in

Saturday?!?! I agree w/ spazzity, just give us the decision on Friday. Please?

I'm with you but even Saturday would be better than Monday. Am going to explode from the tension. Wish I could get on facebook from school so I would have that to distract me...I need to get off the computer now...aaaaargh...

Yeah, I need to ban myself from this website. /Gmail. /the UofC website.

i'll take saturday. Honestly i need to know asap because i don't want to start writing safety essays just to find out monday that i don't need them.
