I saw this in the columbia thread.
I personally am going to check it on my phone, since that's where it will pop up first.
I will go crazy if I am in any situation, accepted/deferred/rejected!

push email, no doubt it's going to be my phone.

probably e-mail...but I'd call as well.

depends on time of day.

if it's during the day and i'm at school then it will be phone. But if i'm near a computer then i will see it pop up on my phone and then i will rush to open it on my computer. I want full screen size glory, or pain...

I will sit idle in front of my computer on saturday the 13th from midnight until the email comes. I will read it. I will be accepted. I will log onto college confidential, delete my account, and thank god that it's all over. After the festive dancing, i will burn all of my college guidebooks and SAT resources (i would recycle them, but that's much less dramatic).

Or, i'd get rejected, fall face first onto my keyboard, and anticipate the next three months of pain and sorrow.

Definitely at home. I can't even imagine opening it at school, seeing REJECTION and wanting to cry for the rest of the day. There's so much pressure at my school to get in places; there's a freaking "LIST OF ACCEPTANCES FOR THE CLASS OF '09" posted in the cafeteria.

Does anyone else feel slightly nauseous at the thought of finding out?

I'm going to be at a speech tournament the day they e-mail everyone. I hope me doing well at the tournament indicates something!

is it definite the decisions are out the 13th?

I'll open my email and cry, no matter what the result. I hope they're tears of joy!

a list of acceptances? that is hardcore. I'm glad my school is very low key about college. In the midwest public schools are the only consider for the vast majority of kids. For almost everyone I know the only decision to make all year is KU vs. KSU. I want none of that.

Absolut3, where did you hear the 13th from? Are we definitely finding out the 13th? Do you know what time on the 13th?

Oh i know Fastfood15, same here.
The decision is between UF and FSU

I'm going to be nervously/frantically/excessively checking my email from the 13th and then on. Do you guys know if they will tell you their decision in the email or will the email direct you to their site and you find out then? Because if it's by email I really hope I don't find out via the subject line.

i bet it's a link to their website. i know yale does that.

Thank god!

Sorry to be a pain but where did you guys hear the 13th from? I just really want to know if we're definitely finding out the 13th lol.

Yeah, or did you base it off when EAers got their decision last year?

I looked up the UChicago blog from either 2007 or 2006, and they sent out the admissions decisions on the 15th.

Now I'm all frazzled. If I don't hear either way, I'm definitely parking myself in front of my computer screen on the 13th.

A posted list of acceptances? I think i can beat that. I go to a really small school and whenever a senior gets into a college, our counselor announces it during morning meeting (held every other day) to the entire school. Said senior then walks up and receives their "I-got-into-college" m&ms. I want that goddamn candy. GAH.

omg lol... i dont even know where ill open it haha...
hopefully a starbucks or something
