The paperwork for my DS Eagle Scout rank is finally completed. When he filled out his applications, though, it was still in-work, so he put something like "Eagle Scout rank pending" on them. We're now having a debate: I think that he should notify the schools that it is now official and he doesn't want to. I know that it's not academic, but it IS a big accomplishment. Any thoughts?

When my S acchieved his official Eagle rank as a senior, I had him send an update e-mail to all the schools he applied to, reaffirming his interest in the Us & letting them know he had achieved Eagle rank and all additional awards and honors he had achieved since he had submitted his application (his team won 2nd place in a state-wide academic contest & a few other things).
