<p>when is the earliest that i can do a study abroad program when transfering to a uc school?</p>
<p>i am a transfer studdent at a uc as well and i belive the earliest we can study is over summer becuase we have probably missed the application dates for any sooner.</p>
<p>rgrego: If you have not yet transferred and are applying for 2010 entry, get in touch with the EAP office now, especially if you want to study abroad in your junior year. I think they let you apply for some or all programs even if you haven’t been accepted by UC yet. Also, some UCs might allow you to start your transfer year abroad, but some (Cal) require new transfer students to attend school on campus for at least one semester. In either case, to study abroad in the junior year, you’ll want to talk to EAP asap. (I made the mistake in thinking that I had to wait to apply, and then missed the entire chance to study abroad due to senior residency and major requirements.)</p>
<p>At my school, you can apply for programs once you have been admitted. Popular programs fill up very fast though.</p>
<p>I am also curious because I want to study abroad with EAP, but I am a transfer student being admitted for Winter 2010. So, since my GPA is 0.0 at UCSD right now, I don’t know if I meet the requirements…</p>
<p>rekishiotaku it is okay that you do not have a gpa established yet. i just transfered to ucla and i plan to study abroad next year and the eap office just requires that you send them your transcripts from your previous college</p>
