Earlier than December 15th!?!

They probably are. I’ve decided there’s a massive collegiate conspiracy going on, with a bunch of schools with misleading names sending emails with misleading titles to mislead us into thinking it’s an acceptance email. Misleadingly.

From what I’ve gathered, if the emails are coming today, they’re coming after 3:00 (Central Time). Could time go any slower?

who knows, maybe the admissions office finished a week ago, but wanted to delay a week and watch us flip out? and thats like half an hour!

can someone just call admissions now and ask… maybe they will give something away… who knows

Just another aspect of a process that’s broken beyond repair. Since Channukah begins tonight I doubt anything will happen this afternoon.

but other schools heard today so i don’t think that would be the reason if they don’t send out decisions

just called admissions they’re sending out mon or tues…

I’ll bet next person who calls gets a different answer.

why dont you try calling then?

one more person call and then if they say monday or tuesday then we know it’s definitely then

Hey guys–I know this probably won’t help much, but just try to be patient. Last year, RD decisions were randomly emailed on some random day about a week before the “expected deadline.” I’m not suggesting you refresh your email boxes every five minutes, but there really is no point in doing all of this specualtion. Please, take it from a person who used to be in your very shoes–it really isn’t worth all the stress. Go outside and have fun, or go hang with friends and family, or go take a nap  Best of luck!

true ^

might as well get the harry potter books out and make the weekend pass quickly

Monday or Tuesday. But it sounded very rehearsed to me.

Yeah. Let’s get one more person to confirm Monday or Tuesday.

i dont see why they have any reason to lie about it.

I just called the office-the lady said by the 15th, then i asked “so do u know if its this weekend or next week? are u allowed to say?” and she said “all i can tell u is by the 15th”
so I would advise just chilling out and not getting too stressed…because it could be next Tuesday for all we know

@AmbitiousMind07

True. But being in our shoes isn’t the same as having the shoes on right now. Have you forgotten all the self doubt and obsessive speculation? haha, it’s actually nice to have the forum to check because at least I know other people are going out of their minds too.

Maybe I could just take a horse tranquilizer and know that the next waking moment, I will have my decision. I’ll settle for CC forums tho. Probably less withdrawals.

this is very messed up of them
they should be telling us when we get the decisions like all the other colleges do
that would be better for them cuz i can only imagine how many phonecalls they get asking about when the decisions are coming out

sigh iono wat imma do if i get rejected. this is unbearable!!

the way northwestern does this is crazy.

Hey everyone! So… I’ve been lurking here for a while and I told myself I wasn’t going to post anything-- mostly because I want to avoid getting addicted to another website, haha. But I’m dying waiting for my NU email, so I figured I might as well just give in and start talking to people who understand the misery of waiting for this!! So hello. :)
