An actress–mainly theatre as opposed to film.

But of course I remind myself how unrealistic this is every day. I’d also be happy teaching drama to high school students or doing something related to linguistics and/or psych.

I would like to be a broadcast journalist also but I want to double major in communications I think. and minor in ze theatre :)

and hahahahha I adore the Harry Potter reference.
Has anyone seen “A Very Potter Musical” ?
Youtube it; it’s AMAZING :)

When you’re all famous, you should remember me and send me tickets or something. I have a feeling I’m going to be poor.

@bandie: ha gotta love the pussycat dolls

A mothermuffing PRINT journalist. Tell me I have no future. Just tell me.

Demonstrated interest: Overnight visit, info session, tour, met with professors and students in my area of study.

In the future, probably a doctor, maybe a physicist.

Woohoo cclolzftw and rc 2814.

Who knows. Maybe we’ll all be waiters together as we live in tiny apartments with five roommates!

Ugh I just want to find out already.

@CC

Oh please! Print journalism will never die. There’ll always be people who love the old fashioned newspaper. & Plus, I think that even thought it’s so called “dying out” now, it’ll come back no worries!

No. Don’t kid yourself. Print journalism is dead. Or at least it’s dying. It’s this refusal to accept the reality of the business model that has landed journalism in its current state.

You know, to me nothing can beat reading/having a WSJ and USA Today on my hands. Also, one day when the govt starts putting up ridiculous govt controls on blogpspheres, we’ll all revert back to reading the paper cause it’s much less complicated cause it’s tangible.

Not a NYTimes fan, srry

I see myself subscribing in the future. I like newspapers.

Haha, mt7. I’m with you. I hope we get it tomorrow. I’d like to know if I need to apply to other schools.

Of course, print staples like the Wall Street Journal and USA Today will survive the industry’s shake-up, but, honestly, the death of journalism involves the elimination of publications that you rarely hear about. It involves the hundreds of newspapers with circulations less than 20,000 who can no longer rely on ad revenue and the semi-major metropolitan papers that begrudgingly transition online and thus produce a digital product that trails their print edition drastically. The future of journalism will depend wholly on the concept of maintaining a print and online product that readily compete with each other for a competitive subscription model.

Do you know when NU is posting admission decisions?
I didn’t apply, but my best friend did and I am rather excited/nervous for her!!

I toured the campus in last September. I want to major in Communications, but occupation wise, I’m not completely sure. Since NU does the quarter system, I’ll be able to be exposed to more communications classes to determine what part I enjoy the most. I’ll probably do something like Public Relations.

I really hope it comes tomorrow…

@ cclolzftw

If we’re both at Medill I have a feeling we’ll be biffles. Print Journalism fo LIFE! holllaaa

best of luck to you all if you see me at Wildcat Welcome Week you’ll know who I am because I’ll be the obnoxious greek girl talking about rap music and cats.

Also I’d appreciate a bit of closure sorry to fluff my own threadzzz but i want some insight from people o__o cause some people are saying that NU’s gonna reject me for my math score even though everything else is fine.

This morning I woke up bright and early, well 8 a.m., hoping that nu sent decisions while I had the most anxious and fitfull night sleep. I was completely disappointed by the fact the only e-mail I got was story people’s story of the day…but it’s sort of encouraging so who knows…maybe it’s a sign.

“Here’s the Story of the Day:
Waiting for Signs
I used to wait for a sign, she said, before I did anything. Then one night I had a dream & an angel in black tights came to me & said, you can start any time now, & then I asked is this a sign? & the angel started laughing & I woke up. Now, I think the whole world is filled with signs, but if there’s no laughter, I know they’re not for me.”

if they happen to send out the decisions today what time do we think they will send out the email EST? also what time did it get sent out last year?

Last year the emails were sent out early in the morning. I’m not sure but something like 7am.

then my guess is that it’s not going to be today… probably monday
