Earliest transfer?

Hi, I go to UCSB and I was wondering what is the earliest one can transfer into a different UC. Does anyone know? Will I have to complete my one year here or can I do it between quarters? Thanks in advance.

BUMP

I have the same question. I'm trying to transfer from Cal to another UC.

I'm pretty sure it's after you achieve sophomore standing in units or after your second year or something like that.

I really hope that's not the case.

For transfer to UCSD, you need to have a junior standing. Also, transfers from other UC's are given the last priority in admissions. The first priority is given to high school seniors, then CCC transfers, then CSU transfers, and finally UC transfers.

I thought that we are before CSU transfers?

The earliest you can transfer from one UC to another is the earliest you can get to either 90 quarter units or 60 semester units, period. There's no transferring between quarters or anything like that. I'm not sure, but I think that you have to file your transfer application now if you want to transfer after this year.

each campus is different -- check thier websites -- a few will allow you to transfer after one year at another college, including juco, assuming that you were fully UC-eligible from high school.

UC to UC equals last in priority

I thought what pointzero thought.

p-zero is incorrect. Check out the campus websites.

Thanks for all the responses guys. I'll definitely check the college websites.

How come you want to transfer from UCSB JReyes624 ? The parties are too much for you?

I'm not too into the party scene, and I just don't really like this area in general. Mainly I don't feel comfortable here.

I should've gone to UCSB.

Where do you go? I'll trade you...

UC Davis...

I went there this weekend. I loved it. Done.
