UM is probably my favorite school on my brief little list...

I'd like to apply early action because it's non-binding...right?

To start off, my unweighted GPA is pretty standard, being a mundane 3.3 that I'm working on to raise at least to a 3.4 by retaking a class that I got a D+ on... My SAT score was a 1820 I've only taken ACT once without any tutoring or practice and received a 26... My EC's are pretty alright due to the fact that my passion is art and I have received many awards and exhibited in galleries; however, my major is still undecided. I speak three tongues (English, Spanish, French) AP scores: French: 4 / Psychology: 4 / Drawing Portfolio: 5 /AP Biology: 4 / APUSH: 5 / English Language: 4 All of my classes are honors except for Engineering freshman year.

See, my problem is sophomore year, a very unprecedented event occurred and it was the first time I took AP classes, my GPA dropped and I got 2 C's and one D+ I managed to get back on track a little on Junior year. I've gotten 200+ service hours at an art museum and I work at a clothes store. I'm a Hispanic girl who's in the top 20% of a 1097 class (huge school I know) My fortes are art and writing. If I write a superior essay, and apply EA, what are my chances?
