Dear anonymous 2012 : Your information is a bit sketchy, so working with what we have, your test scores are beyond criticism. On your GPA, from what scale is the 4.13 (unweighted) earned? Sports (softball) and Music (piano, singing groups) are present but their is no discussion of High School involvement in these areas. The club and volunteerism aspects of your application are both missing in this sample.

The presidential scholarships are awarded to about a dozen early action applicants who have for one reason or another, truly stood out above the pack. From their web site : Each year since 1991, a select group of young men and women of outstanding talent and character have come to Boston College to embark on an integrated honors educational experience designed to embody the best of the university and its Jesuit heritage of educational excellence in service to society - the Boston College Presidential Scholars Program.
