Early Action Class of 2023 - VT

@hokieinCO I applied Business Undecided, and I’m in-state NOVA.

Got in

@hokieinCO There is a decision box in the middle of the page that says “Decision” and then has the info in big text.

Accepted into College of Natural Resources!
OOS Illinois, 1360 SAT, 3.963 GPA
Are people being notified of merit aid with their acceptance? I only see a loan but I applied for merit based scholarships as well

Did anyone get any merit scholarships?

@victorbernstein hmmm…my son is 1260 SAT, 3.94 GPA Business Undecided, OOS. Regular decision though. Good luck! I bet you get in from the waitlist…

My son (OOS Engineering) got a $3K/yr scholarship. And a $94 Provost Scholarship (?)

Shows up on the portal page “Application Summary” that normally has the SRAR received, Personal Essay… a new section above that and program info (below name and address info) …. new section Says “Offered Admission” and instructions.

My d says a Virginia tech grant which may be merit??

@pk100101 I got into UVA as well, but my net price was still over my EFC, better than vtech though. I guess the whole idea of instate public schools being cheaper only applies to people who make a certain amount.

Are Honors College decisions posted?

My OOS son just got in!! Vermont
4.0
1260 SAT
4 APs
Marginal FA :frowning:

My son got in early decision and his portal had a pretty clear red(?) INVITED next to honors college when his decision came out. I would assume it would be the same for these. It was hard to miss.

My son is in!!! OOS College of Science (Chemistry). Woohoo ?

@whiz05403 Congrats!! What major?

@hokieinCO Thanks, and good luck to your son!

Does anyone know how many people they waitlist?

My daughter got in! She is so excited! Out of state.

@Seasalty Did he have to apply for Honors College?

My son was offered a merit scholarship. It’s under Financial Aid awards. Not sure if it’s just for next year or renewable.
