Does the early action deadline still stand as November 1? Or is the university extending its deadline like many other universities undergoing Common App problems?

Thanks.

Does the early action deadline still stand as November 1? Or is the university extending its deadline like many other universities undergoing Common App problems?

Thanks.

As of now, the website & common app says it’s still Nov. 1st.

Still Nov 1.

Yes, Nov 1st

I have only heard of Columbia, Chicago and George Washington University shifting their deadlines. Most universities have not announced anything yet. I suspect Michigan will keep the November 1 deadline.

Johns Hopkins has extended the deadline by a week

There is a thread under Common App subforum with a list of around a dozen schools so far extended the EA/ED deadline. UMich is not on the list and they have been downloading applications and recommendations in the past 3 weeks. I guess they do not see any problem yet.

Has anyone had a problem with them downloading the materials from common app and then not changing the status on so that it still says “not received”? I’ve been waiting nearly two weeks and I’m worried that for some reason my school report isn’t matching up with my application somehow. Because it says they downloaded it on common app…

The school report they downloaded last week is still shown as not received. I don’t worry too much about it though.
