Are we going to get a letter saying we got accepted? will it include scholarship offers?

Yes they will be sent on the week of December 19th.

I think most scholarship and financial aid info won’t come out until March

but I did get a random email today from the university that said “congratulations” then it started talking about a scholarship program offered by the university and that the deadline was in like 3 weeks did anyone else get the email?

I got the congrats e-mail but no scholarship program mentioned :(

Was this a major/college-specific scholarship or a general one?

Well whoever gets the package, could you tell me if it has anything of worth in it? I’m not available at the address it’s being sent to at the moment. I managed to get my AdmitID and everything else online.

@quaerens it’s a general one offered by the university and cps

The Chez Scholars Program is a college access and retention program that recruits
promising Chicago area public high school students. The program is designed to
provide the Chez Scholars with support, guidance, and opportunities for personal
growth as they journey through their undergraduate experience at Illinois

It’s 10,000/renewable all four years
It says they only award 5

It’s on their website I just noticed
[U of I Admissions: Scholarships for All Academic Disciplines](Page Not Found, Illinois Undergraduate Admissions)

Anyone else know when scholarships will be announced

@Smiley0809 – Congratulations! That sounds like a really cool program.

where do you find your University Identification Number (UIN)?

@kblitz

Go to https://secure.admin.illinois.edu/Admissions/eAdmit/SecretCode and login your UIN and AdmitID should pop up

Then go to https://secure.admin.illinois.edu/iAccept/default.aspx login from this page and you should be able to accept or decline your offer

@quaerens I don’t think I’ve won anything yet, they just think I would be a good candidate.
The program is still open to all admitted Illinois students to apply and yeah it does sound kind of cool :)

@Smiley0809 But where do I find my UIN?

If you logged in on the page you should have seen something like this
AdmitID For UIN - 61***** (It’s a 9 digit number) that’s your UIN

This page https://www.icard.uillinois.edu/secure/act_tellme.cfm#online_form also works for finding your UIN it’s simpler

it will pop up as “NAME HERE”, your University of Illinois ID Number is 61*****
Write down your University ID Number for future use.

Got mine today but nothing about scholarship offers. Then again, I’m not really much of a scholarship candidate (white, poor ECs, decent ACT and GPA).

The packet we received simply consisted of a magazine for admitted students and a letter. On the back of the letter you will find your UIN and AdmitID numbers and other basic info such as residency status. No scholarship info came in our packet.

We did receive a departmental scholarship notice in an email, and the email indicated we would get more information in the mail from financial aid. But I suspect most scholarships do not issue until later.

What college did your letter come from? LAS,Business ?
