Early Action - October Scores

Michigan’s website says: “Your SAT/ACT test scores must be sent directly from the testing agency and received in our office by our deadline. Please plan ahead— rush paper scores are not accepted. Also note that if you plan to take the ACT or SAT in October, those scores will not arrive in time to complete your application for Early Action.” The son of a friend of mine took the SAT in October 2015 and got much improved scores over a prior sitting. He has submitted the October scores on an expedited basis and Michigan should have them early this week, well before the deadline. Does anyone have experience with this? Will Michigan not consider the October scores for Early Action even though the have received them? Michigan is his first choice school.

The main point is, if October score is the only s,ore submitted, it may be too late for EA. If you did submit earlier score to make the EA application complete, the October score will be considered if arrived before application review.
