Early Action or no?

Hello everyone! Notre Dame is my top choice school for their unique (traditional) architecture program and I really love everything about it.

Would you recommend early action or just wait until regular for better chances?

About me:
-White male, rising senior at a competitive/respected Catholic college prep in Chicago (accepts usually 10-15 applicants a year from a class of 350ish; 6 or so usually attend).
-34 composite ACT (34 English, 35 Math, 34 Reading, 32 Science, 10 writing)
-3.87ish UW GPA, 4.03 W, school does not rank (for context, average accepted from my school is 3.87 W regular, 4.03 W early)
-Will graduate with 6 APs (APUSH, Euro, Comparative government and politics, Physics, Spanish language, and AB Calculus)
-ECs: President of Spanish Honors Society, Secretary of National Honors Society, Model United Nations, Track and Field (2 years, 1 varsity), Arrupe Mentor to incoming freshmen in the fall (40% acceptance rate in school), maybe a couple other clubs here and there
-Service: nursing home, soup kitchen, historic home museum volunteer
-Summers: Exchange student to Chile 2011, Notre Dame Career Discovery in Architecture 2012, perhaps a job later this summer (wish me luck)

Thanks!

You will get in and design buildings almost better than burnham.

I think you look good for EA. I would play up the trip to Chile and the ND experience as those are a bit different than the rest. Talk to your area rep as well. Other than that, test scores, GPA and HS rigor look good. Good luck! Maybe you and my son will both get in!

I’d apply EA for sure. It is generally considered to be a positive to apply to a school early as it indicates that it is a top choice.

Thanks for the kind words everyone, and good luck to your son, Irishcali! After research here and from other sources, I think I will probably apply early. Yay
