Early Action Results Thread

Bump. EA applicants: We got less than 2 weeks left. We can hear from them in 8 to 13 days now!

im excited = )

I really nervous. I have a gut feeling I'll get in, but deep down I know i'll get deffered. I'm a very non-traditonal student, so the stats don't mean anything to me. Meaning, I have no way, of knowing based on my grades/scores if they will accepet me.

wow since i live in virginia... if i go by this thread.... i'll hear in about 6 days. scary...

so it's definitely going to be by mail, then? No chance of email notification?

I got my EA acceptance in 2003 by e-mail before I got it by regular mail.

By Email?!!?!!!!?

When did you get the e-mail?!!
AH. 10 days! I'm dying!

Hey there, this was about 4 years ago (I got my acceptance in Dec. 2003)... I don't remember when I got it exactly, but I remember I got it just around -- maybe a day or two earlier at MOST, perhaps not even -- the official date. I don't know if I got my answer by e-mail first because I'm an international student though and Gtown figured they'd send me the news via e-mail first since the letter would be delayed by intl post.

And that's the extent of my Gtown knowledge; I ended up reconsidering my first-choice and going somewhere else, getting in RD. Thankfully though, my EA Gtown acceptance made the whole RD process really unstressful!

is gtown a typical accept=big package, deferral=little envelope kind of deal?

Yes. My friend got deferred and all she got was a regular letter envelope.

people have been saying that both acceptances and deferrals come in a regular letter envelope and that it's a difference of about 1 page for a deferral and 3 pages for an acceptance (if I'm correctly remembering what other people on this forum have been saying) so you can't tell a difference by looking at the envelope.

I'm so scared I've been having dreams about getting deffered

I've got WAY too much **** goin on to keep me distracted, lol. Basketball, basketball, and more basketball.

yeah i'm eating so much cus i have a feeling i'm getting deffered/rejected by two schools next week :(

Hey, there's always the bright side: a lot of people don't go to their top choice, but it's what they make of their experience, I'm sure all of you will have an amazing time at wherever you go, and after a year somewhere, it'll be hard to imagine yourselves somewhere else!
(but still...I hope to see you all at GU!!)

anyone feeling the heat? =|

OH YEAH. most definately!

Don't worry so much; at worst, you'll be deferred. No one gets rejected.

yeah, i'm pretty sure i'm getting deferred early, i'm just worried about not getting in at all, but I have a long time to wait if that is the case.
