Hi everyone,
I’m in a mess right now. Currently, I’m in early admission which is like dual enrollment except ALL my classes are at a community college and I basically don’t go to my school anymore for senior year. To make a long story short, I have one bad grade out of the four classes. This grade is pretty bad, it’s probably an F and I desperately need to make it to a D. If I have at least a D, then I could stay in Early Admission. Now, I’m thinking of just giving up with Early Admission and just go back to my high school for the rest of my senior year. However, I am super worried how my high school GPA and college GPA would look like after this catastrophe. Before I went to Early Admission, I had a 3.1 unweighted, 3.8 weighted. Right now, I have no idea how this will look afterwards. I’m coming out to this community because I really need to see if ANYONE is (or was once) in this situation because I am beyond stressed with this. Thank you!
Hey there!
I’m doing something similar. It’s not early admissions, but I’m a full-time college student in high school. I know what the work load is like and it can get pretty rough! Although I haven’t had a drop in grades, I know how easily it could happen, and as a matter of fact, you’re probably doing just as good or better than a few of your college peers. If you think you’re falling behind, try tutoring. Most colleges offer it for free, and it can really help you catch up. If you really think you can’t make it back to at least a D or C, drop the course. I guess my point is, use your resources before you decide to leave!
I really didn’t get too much information beforehand, and it is past the drop-out date for the class so I’m pretty much stuck with a potential F in that one class. If that happens, I have no choice but to go back as a high school student in my old high school.
I see. Is there a way you can find out your actual letter grade?
