When it comes to choosing your courses, are you an early bird (i.e. pick early courses and finish the day off early) or a late riser (i.e. pick courses late in the day so you can have more time to sleep in the morning)?

I'm an early bird. My motto is get things done early so you have the rest of the day to do what you want/have to do.

My first quarter every single one of my days began at 9 AM - 9:30 AM. That’s when most of my school’s classes start. Well, one quarter of that quickly dissuaded me from early classes for the next two quarters. I tried to stay vigilant going to bed around 12 or 1, and I usually did; yet, I found that I preferred staying up a little late and hanging with friends or playing Xbox or even doing homework (usually try to get through that slog earlier though).

Now, I try to have maybe a couple days of the week to have a class between 9-10:30 so that I don’t get too lazy, but I really prefer to have my classes start a little later. Odds are that when I take early classes, I’ll just come back and go on my computer anyways. I prefer sleep. But I don’t always let that dictate my course selection - when there’s a great course I want, well, gotta accommodate!

I get up at 5 in the morning…I go to bed around midnight…Honestly I use to have wicked night terrors so I am good with my five hours. I will probably end up keeping that schedule when I get out and back to school so I plan on taking early classes

My sleep schedule is that of a late riser (frequently go to bed between 2 and 3) but I believe in getting my classes out early in the day so I have the rest of the afternoon to do whatever. But I’m extremely functional on 4-5 hours of sleep on a consistent basis, whereas most of my friends have to take frequent naps to maintain that schedule.

I prefer to do my classes in the early morning to mid-morning, so I can finish and have to time to relax in the evening. Unfortunately, most of my classes this semester are in the afternoon/evening. Mondays and Wednesdays, I start my first class at 8:00 am, and my last class doesn’t end until 8:30 pm. Funnnn.

Commuting conditioned me into getting up pretty early, although lately I’ve been falling asleep later and consequently waking up later. Catching up on lost sleep I suppose.

I’m hoping to be as much of a late riser as possible for a freshman, but it all depends on whether or not I can test out of my 8am Mon&Wed theory class… Tues&Thurs are a reasonable 10:30 start & Fridays are looking good - a nice little block of classes from 1pm-5pm.

I’m an extremely late risers. That scares me considering I have class at 8:30 am 3 days a week. My college does block scheduling so if you don’t take the morning class your next earliest class can start at 12:30… and finish by 3:45. So by then the day is almost wasted by then.

Early riser… although I don’t like it. For some reason I just can’t sleep in late… but I need to sleep until at least 7 to function the next day. My first class is a 8:30… which isn’t a problem for me, although it is still a little early.

Definitely a late riser. I try to schedule my classes so that the earliest I get to wake up is 10am, and that is still too early. The perfect class time is from late morning to late afternoon, between 11am to about 4pm. Right now I have two classes that are from 8am to 12pm MWF and waking up at 6:30am every other day sucks!!

Somewhere in the middle is fine with me (10:00AM-12:00PM)… I would hate to have to get up at 7am for a 8am class, and I hate getting out at like 4-5pm.

Like most people have said, start early – end early…

Late riser… On weekends I wake past 12. I only sleep at 2 or 3

However, I have scheduled my classes to finish by 1pm. Even if I only start at 10, so I’m packed with classes from 10am-1pm everyday, but IO think its good. I’ve got ample time for lunch, got the rest of the day to study or have fun. It’s all good :)

I’m a very energetic early bird. That’s why I scheduled my courses to start after 10 am. I want to be able to study in the morning when I’m focused. I can sit in lecture at any time and I’m less twitchy later in the day lol.
