Early Bird vs Night Owl

I’m just curious how many CCers are early birds or night owl.

I’m 100% a night owl. I don’t function well when I have to wake up super early even if I get a lot of sleep. It always seems like I wait until the last minute to do work (honestly, most of the time I do) because my best ideas come at night, If I study, it’s at night. If I do homework, it’s at night. And when I work on scholarship stuff, it’s at night.

I’m interested to see how the rest of the community responds. Post your response below.

Definitely an early bird! As the day goes on my productivity slowly decreases so I tend to wake up around 4:00/4:30 and study/do homework. After dinner I absolutely can’t study anything. Nothing gets into my head haha

N.O.

Oh definitely a night owl. I have to get up at 5 every morning for school and I literally cannot function till about 3rd period (9 o’clock ish). I love staying up late, and I have insomnia so I naturally stay up super late.

Early bird. I forced myself into waking up at 5:30-6:10 every day this school year.

Early bird. These past week I couldn’t stay up past 11pm and woke up before 7am.

Night Owl, I always sleep when my eyes can’t open anymore, and wake up last minute XD.

I am an early bird because I have the most energy in the morning and love to go to bed early and get up early.

Have a good day!

Night owl
I tend to procrastinate (oops) but I absolutely cannot function early in the morning, even with 8 hours of sleep (and I rarely get 8 hours of sleep on a school night). I do my homework at night, and actually my first few posts on CC were around midnight one night, even though that was a bit too late for my liking :P.

I like having early classes but doing my work later.

I’m so much of a night owl that I’m actually an early bird…

Completely a night owl, I seem to be at productive productivity from 5pm (and like someone else said, I have insomnia so sleep doesn’t come easily to me)

@halcyonheather lol I completely understand.

Side-note: So far it’s been relatively even. I thought night owls would dominate by a larger margin (maybe I have to wait for more results).

I’m somewhere in between? I’d definitely call myself a night owl, but I can get up and going in the mornings if I really need to.

(I’m most productive from 10pm to 10 am)

I just like sleep
So neither? Can I just sleep for all of it?

Night owl. I hate working during the day because my family members are a noisy bunch. My neighbors are also a noisy bunch. I can’t concentrate during the day at all. My period of high productivity is form 8 pm to 1 am.

Neither really. I don’t function well early in the mornings, and I always get tired around 9. I function the best around noonish, and if I had my way, I would wake up between 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM naturally.
