So begins the bi-annual ritual of someone suggesting decisions might be up soon, causing widespread anxiety and disappointment that lasts until they’re actually posted 7+ days later…

^lol. There’s always one.

not sure if your schools use Naviance for college applications, but mine shows that my school was 8/19 for kids applying to wustl (ED and RD) for 2013. 2010-2013 ED acceptance rate was 33% with a 5.5/6.0 gpa, 33 act, and 2133 sat average

just for some perspective i guess…

^Can you interpret what you just said because it all just went way over my head and I have no idea what you were trying to convey.

jheono, it was just to give some perspective to us who are applying (whether it helps or not). i listed the stats for people from my high school that graduated from 2010-2013 that got accepted ED. again aside from giving perspective it doesn’t really mean much

Not applying ED, but @PrettyBoy, they probably have it but if not it shouldn’t matter because they look at attendance at info sessions/tours for RD to ensure a prospective student is actually interested in WUSTL. By applying ED they know you and all the other ED applicants love WUSTL and thus interest is not a factor.

@dontrejectme yeah my school started using Naviance this year. I think those stats are useful for the people who go to that school, but pretty much useless for others due to difference in rigor of the school and geographic location. My school’s is a 14% accept rate- 2/14 people (probably just from these past 2 years) with a 33 avg. ACT and a 3.95/4.0 GPA.

Does anyone know the early decision acceptance rate for legacy students? Does legacy have that much weight at WashU?

They definitely don’t release stats as specific as that. Legacy helps like at any school, but probably not significantly more than anywhere else.

Possibly a week away from our decisions!!

I am half-tempted to lie and say “OMG I GOT MY ACCEPTANCE TODAY” just to freak u guys out

when do you think acceptances will come out? 12/9 like for the class of 2012, or 12/11 like for the class of 2013?

on a side note, i was still able to add onto my application by emailing the admissions processor last night…

@dontrejectme probably 12/11 or 12/12 due to Common App technical errors most likely, but I could be wrong! And what did you send to your admissions processor that was added on to your application?

@jermattack101 “national merit commended” under awards/achievements…i found the letter like 2 days ago haha and something about financial aid

Getting super impatient!! Hopefully they’ll be up by the 11th? The other schools my friends applied to ED plan on releasing decisions by 2:00 on the 12th. Did the common app snafu set stuff back?

Does anyone else have a small panic attack every time they think about this? By the time they announce the decisions I’ll have lost 10 years off my life. Anxietyyy.

@amfaszl: too real.

Any updated ideas on when decisions will come out?

Nobody in this thread will be able to tell you. Check once every night after 7 EST, don’t let yourself worry about it, and you’ll be fine. They’ll be up by Friday.

And the event horizon approaches… Good luck, everybody.

Thanks, Ravnzcroft, for the support.
