Early Decision - Class of 2016

New York Times is reporting that Elon's ED apps went up from 344 to 400 - a 16% increase. Of course, they were down about 15% last year - so it evens out.

http://thechoice.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/11/16/early-admission-2011-2/

I am so excited, but yet nervous to figure out if I got in!

it seems that many schools are up. it could be the increase in this years total pool of kids. 1990 was a year of blizzards and i think birth rates were up!

elon is increasing the size of the freshmen class so i think it evens out the numbers.

we will know soon enough! rvm, i am holding you to that drink!

My daughter applied early decision to Elon and we’re anxiously awaiting the decision. Does anybody know how/when we’ll know? Do we really have to stay up until midnight on Nov. 30 and then check the website to see if her status has changed at 12:01 am Dec. 1st?

have been told that some reps will call the eve of the 30th, but how do you know if it is your rep and if your D gets the call? better to not count on a call and end up being disappointed for potentially no reason, since there is no way to know who makes calls and how many they make.

who is to say that the website is ready at 12:01? of course we will be up like you with fingers poised on the keyboard to check!! glad to know there are a few others crazy like me to know my S’s status. :)

maybe someone will call and post here about when the website becomes live.

I am pretty sure that they post the results on Dec. 1st at midnight. I will be more than welling to post something on here when the “website becomes live”.

willing not welling! Sorry!

If it’s the same as last year, the ED results will be live on OnTrack at 11:59 pm on November 30. Good luck everyone!

thanks vic will be waiting by the computer at 11:59!!

In the past, some people have gotten a phone call on the evening of 11/30 and some haven’t. Doesn’t seem to be a real pattern as to who gets called or why, so don’t stress if you don’t get a call.

My D was accepted and did not get a phone call. She went to bed with her laptop beside her and her alarm set for midnight. She checked OnTrack at midnight, found out she was in, went back to sleep and told us in the morning.

Good luck!

lafalum, she woke up at midnight and found out while you slept? i wont sleep for nights before; i will be toooooo excited. I will be right by the comnputer. my S will sleep and i will wake him up. :)

^ I thought the same thing…no way I’m falling asleep until S checks his OnTrack! It will be a late night in our household, our HS freshman D loved Elon too and is so excited for him!

Little over 48 hours to go - good luck everyone - hoping to read lots of great news Thursday morning!

Because im from california does anyone know if I can see my application status at 9 pm Pacific time or do I still have to wait until 12?

I’m guessing it will be there for you to see at 9pm - I can’t imagine they adjust each student’s decision view by their time zone! You will have to let us know if I was right or wrong on that one!

good luck everyone. post back here later!!

My nerves are jangling! Good luck to everyone of you waiting for ED news!

Nervous here too. Has anybody received a call?

I have heard a few people in NJ rcvd calls that they were accepted right after 5pm - anyone else? Any other states?

My son got a call late this afternoon telling him he was accepted! He was stunned and elated. But fear not, those of you who did not receive calls: His brother, who is now attending Elon as a freshman, didn’t receive a call last year at this time. Just keep refreshing your OnTrack page from 11:57 to midnight. It’s a thrilling experience when the good news pops up. Best of luck to all who are anxiously waiting!
