How do you know that it got mailed? Did they send an email?
Since i t appears that ED2 decisions are starting to be released, I offer the following observations to help alleviate some of the anxiety and answer some of the questions that may arise over the next several days.
International applicants have a different delivery method than domestic based applicants. For International decisions, they are usually sent Priority mail via either USPS or DHL. As such, those who have a DHL or USPS account can track any shipment that is posted to them. In the past, an email has been sent to alert the applicant that a decision was on the way.
Domestic students can expect their decision to arrive via good old snail mail, the US Postal Service. Wake does not send emails to domestic students, nor is the decision available via the admissions portal. Once the decision letter leaves Wake, the postal service is in control of how long it will take the decision to reach you. For those in neighboring states, the decision will come quicker than those who live further away. Be patient, especially if live in the Midwest or the West Coast.
Acceptances come in an 8 x10 envelope, and I believe this year its Black and Gold and looks like the cover of the View Book. If you have an account with the USPS that allows you to see your mail before it arrives in your mailbox, you may be able to ascertain your decision earlier.
As always, Good Luck to everyone! Wake Forest is a very special place and I hope you all get accepted!
Go Deacs!
My D applied ED2. Waiting on pins and needles like many. Good luck to all!
Yep @thereesh mine got mailed, all though I just got an acceptance letter through email!!! So stoked about this, they have informed me that the hardcopy package will contain deposit information. I thought that we only received notification by mail, so possible international applicants find out by mail.
And here are my stats:

Completed: 5th February (Very very very late…)
Interviewed: No
IB Diploma: Predicted 38/45
Subjects/Classes:
BIology HL (7)
Economics HL (6)

International student studying in the UK and so I used my personal statement (applying to UK unis) as my commonapp essay, here is a link to it in case anyone wants to take a look: https://www.docdroid.net/EXXJTxg/personal-statement.docx
I thought my written supplements were quite strong all though i did my top ten list on my favourite types of fruits… last minute thing. Thought my counsellors recommendation was quite strong (english teacher for the win!).
I think my selling point was having lived in 7 countries, and doing different “sports” in my case paragliding.
Good luck to the rest!
Those of you who have been deferred: Don’t give up! Keep in touch with admissions and update your application. My D was deferred ED, waitlisted RD, and got a phone call on July 3 that she had been accepted! She had an amazing four years and graduated in 2014, and is on her way to a doctorate. Keep fighting!
@bettzke1 Thank you for posting that! For anyone waiting on the EDII desicion - best wishes!
@lawlover0520 Have you received anything re finalist invites for the Presidential Scholarship in Theatre? It’s been over a week now since invites were mailed, so I’m guessing it’s not happening for me.
I haven’t received anything either @TheatreGeek007
My daughter received today an invite for the Presidential Scholarship in Music. Dates are 03/11 and 03/12.
@rossie03 Congratulations! That’s great!
Did any of you go to Campus Day today? Anyone going next Friday? Wondering how it went.
I’m going next Friday! Is anyone attending the MOSAIC program next Thursday?
I realize that all ‘accepted students’ Can attend Campus Day but it also is somewhat geared to those that haven’t yet made a final decision. Just wasn’t sure whether there’s a benefit If I’ve already toured campus twice and made a decision. I did see you can attend a mock class and they also have the student activities fair with all the clubs etc represented. So I was wondering how many ED’s were attending. (No - I’m not attending MOSAIC)
I’ve heard that a lot of students who’ve committed attend. It gives you a great opportunity to meet some of your future classmates, check out some extracurriculars, and (like you mentioned) sort of a get a feel for classes.
