I applied back in July and I still have not heard back
What state are you in? I applied August 7th from CA.
when did you apply?
@teddington1 I’m from California too and am thinking of applying ED. I am going to visit in two weeks time and have an interview. Do you know if there are a lot of CA applicants to WF?
Yes, according to Wake, only NC, GA, FL, NY, and, I think, NJ had more students than CA (56) in class of 2017. Over 100 (probably more like 150) were accepted from CA (obviously not all attend) and with an acceptance rate under 30% there must be 500 plus CA applicants. Good luck!
I was accepted Early Decision on Monday September 25th. I applied August 24th.
Here were my stats as a reference-
Unweighted GPA- 4.0
Weighted GPA- 4.36
SAT- 1430
Class Rank- School Does’t Rank (Attend top 3 public school in Ohio)
Extracurriculars- Very well rounded, golf/lacrosse player, golf coach, HOBY representative, 2 year intern at medical practice, attended 9 month medical program
Interview/Visits: Did in July @ Wake Forest, went very well. Shadowed a Statistics class in March, visited school 3 times in total.
Schedule: Total of 10 AP’s through high school
Go Deacs, good luck to all!
has anyone else heard?
Going on week 5 and still haven’t heard
Exactly six weeks to find out. Deferred but that makes life is an adventure full of ups and downs so I’m even more interested to see what the future holds.

Would you mind sharing whether you submitted a test score and, if so, what was your score? Thank you
deferred as well…pretty bummed out. like your attitude though.
I did submit and I got a 1470 on my SAT (760 Math, 710 Reading).
Teddington, I understand that, but just gotta play the cards life deals you the best you can.
@RhettOrAshley - Deferred is still great! You have a really impressive SAT score. Do you think your EC’s were just as strong - or do you think you had any weaker areas? I really don’t know what they could be looking for!
I agree that I’m confused as to why you got deferred…what is your GPA and EC’s like…what are they looking for??
I submitted my application on September 19th, and got the acceptance letter October 14th (little less then 4 weeks)!
What state are you from? and would you mind sharing your statistics?
I am from Minnesota.
APs: 9
Advanced Classes: Member of International Space Program Team
GPA: 3.9
Examples of ECs: Volunteer at Hospital for 3 years, Varsity Track and Field athlete 6 years, National Honor Society, volunteer at multiple church events, attended Wake Forest Summer Immersion Program Leadership Institute
This isn’t everything, but just some things off the top of my head
I also did not submit any test scores as I felt they didn’t represent me as a student
Is your GPA weighted ?
