need some clarification:
can a student apply for two EAs for college? or an EA and ED?
i know two EDs is a definite no because you can`t go to two colleges if you get accepted to both.

You can do two EAs and EA and ED depending on the school's EA policy. Some schools like Stanford, has a SINGLE CHOICE EA, which means you cannot apply to any other school under EA. Other EA schools are just regular EAs, which is non binding and dont have any other special conditions. You should read the conditions for the EA schools you're considering. I applied to two schools one EA and one ED and it was perfectly fine and i got accepted to both. I just declined the offer for the EA school. But you should definately read up on the conditions before you apply.

Yes you can. You can apply to as many EA schools as you want unless they're single-choice EA. If you apply ED, you can apply to as many EA and RD schools as you like, but must withdraw all applications you have out there upon acceptance.

that`s great. =] thanks.

can a student apply for a single-choice EA + an ED?

Sorry--Nope
