Last year my son applied the first day housing was open to ED students and got his first choice - Sierra Madre. He has friends in the red bricks that were put into triples (not by choice to save $$), and it is pretty tight. No triples in Sierra Madre. His room mate is also an engineering major and no complaints about late night noise during the week. He has no regrets about choosing Sierra Madre. Also, make sure you get your payment and medical forms in quickly as this will help you get your first choice…

I learned by calling Admissions last year that the medical forms can wait. It’s the Agreement and the check that really matter for EDs. One suggestion I have which could lessen, if not eliminate, the risk of a triple in the Red Bricks is to specify a roommate. This can be done in the spring - both have to specify the other - and I think it helps.

abbazabba! nicee, both chem majors going for cerro vista.
we’re definitely forming a study group!
i didn’t put down muir even though it’s our college’s dorm because i was worried about being stuck in a triple.
i mailed in my forms so it should process and stuff, and i did the $800 payment, so i’m pretty sure that’s all we can do for now.

oh and thanks for helping out Calpoly91

Are the North Mountain Halls basically all engineer majors?
And which hall(s) are for science majors?

I’ve heard that the towers are more social than the other dorms is this true?

ITS A FREAKING PARTY SCHOOL stay out of your own dorm and you will be social. noone is allowed to party anyways, all parties will be off campus and on greek row. pick a housing situation that you will like to come home to… cuz thats what it is… your home
