hey guys.
After visiting penn yesterday, i absolutely fell in love with the campus.
The liveliness and the beautiful school buildings and the neighborhood just caught my attention.
Now that Penn is my top choice among any universities, I want to know if i should apply as early decision or regular decision.
My dad's annual income is 120,000. which is a problem because most of that money is spent on our house, car mortages, and other stuff. So we are not that rich after all.
But we are in a typical income and family situtation range where it consists of 4 member family (2 sons and parents) with over 100,000 income.
I dont know if i can get a sufficient financial aid if i apply as a early decision applicant.
What if i get in and can't afford to pay for my education?
I really want to apply as early decision applicant but i dont know if i can.
So pls help me guys :D

Plan every your action 120.000 is not that much when you have to pay 50 000 just for your education :)

Isn’t there a way to get out of ED if you don’t get enough aid?

yeah. i know that. but isnt that a complicated process?

unless you are legacy, ED isn’t going to help you. Apply regular.

^Umm not true. at all.

If you truly love it, apply early and you will make it work. The FA office will be willing to help you if you really think the aid you got wasn’t enough.

Not sure what necrophiliac is smoking…ED gives you a huge boost in the admissions process. I would recommend it if you think Penn is a reach for you

How much does legacy help ED

legacy can make it if you won’t ED but legacy works against you in regular. I’m not smoking anything. Last 2 years, 2 kids made it into Wharton. We both applied regular. No one made it ED.

i kind of feel like u have to apply ed if you’re legacy

No don’t do ED if you are not comfortable with the FA.

There is a process to get out of ED, but it is veryyy complicated.
