I’m early decisioning Wharton and although I’m pretty sure I’m allowed to, I just want to completely make sure. I am also allowed to early action another school. I’m also early actioning UNC-Chapel Hill (in-state) and their early action is non-restrictive. I just want to completely make sure so I’m not screwed later, it is allowed, right? Plz reply quickly, thx.

no its not allowed. It's weird, you would think that 1 binding program and one non-binding is ok.

but ivies don't like that. think of ED as a SCEA type of thing.

So I cannot do Penn ED and Chicago EA?

yeah you can do chicago ea and penn ed. you just can't do an ed as well as an scea.

Hyper, it is definitely allowed (as long as UNC is non-binding, which you mentioned it was).

UNC also has to allow you to apply places ED. If it is like gerogetown, you can do EA to every school that offers it (so long as they aretn HYS) but you cannot do ED anywhere. Double check the UNC EA policy. If they are like georgetown, then they will throw out your app after finding out you applied Penn ED and Penn may very well throw out your app too.

you are definitely allowed to

thx for your help and yeah, I'm sure that UNC is nonbinding. I just wanted to make absolutely sure. I also checked with a free classmates and they're doing exactly what I'm doing. So I think I'm pretty safe, thx for easing some of my last minute tensions. Still got to work on the essay :), thx
