I’m applying for Early Decision II to NYU, does that mean I need to withdraw applications from US unis and other universities from any other country if I get it, or just US unis?
No, you would only withdraw other apps if accepted to NYU.
And I believe only to US schools.
The blurb below seems to say all universities – read second bullet point. If you have any lingering doubt contact the school directly and ask.

Good catch. I’ve never seen the words “in the world” on an ED agreement statement before.
I know that there is a clause in the ED agreement for most schools (though maybe not NYU) that you can reject your ED agreement to go to an international school.
Thanks everyone.
I’m applying to only NYU and 5 other universities in the UK. Originally wanted to apply for ED because I’m also applying for financial aid and I’ve heard it’s easier to get it if you chose ED. But if it means giving up my 5 other unis in the UK (which I think I’m leaning more towards), I’ll just apply for Regular Decision.
^^^^Good decision. In addition, it is unwise to apply anywhere ED if you need aid and want to compare financial offers from different schools. NYU has a reputation for not giving great financial aid.
