<p>I'm going to hang out at Borders Fri. evening with some friends and then head over to a friend's 18th birthday party. Hopefully I'll be able to use her computer around midnight to check the decision. </p>

<p>Yes I love Emory (but it’s a big reach for me, so I won’t be too crushed if I don’t get in) and I admit I do have a (to the second) countdown..... As far as Friday night, I'll be working until midnight so I won’t be able to check opus every 5 minutes. I guess that’s a good thing, but either way good luck (again) to all ED1 ers!!!!!:)!!!!!</p>
<p>Yea, I guess I should get back to my studying, FINALS all this week!... but it's my last week until break!! (out on the 15th)</p>
<p>Yup, it's a huge reach for me as well. I'm psyching myself for a rejection letter so I won't be be all that surprised when I find out I didn't get accepted... I'll just move on and apply for other schools. </p>
<p>So what schools are you guys going to apply for if Emory doesn't work out for you? Mines are UGA and GA Tech. I really want to stay in-state so yeah.</p>

<p>I am applying to a ton of schools if I don't get in....Northwestern, Tufts, WashU (all HUGE reaches) & then BU, NYU, Brandeis, GWU, American..I've already been accepted to my safeties IU & Bama, so at least I know I'm going somewhere!!</p>

<p>I get out the 21st too! haha just thought I'd throw that in there. Anyway, I get like nauseous every time I think about the 15th. haha. I hope I get in but if I don't, I already got into this cool lac in pennsylvania so I have SOMEWHERE to go. I also applied to gatech and university of maryland and I still have a couple more applications to fill out. I really hope I get into Emory though. I want to study biology. <p>I get out on the 15th, which honestly is worse than the 21st. As if I happen to get rejected from Emory, I'll have to wait until like Jan 3 or something to get back to school and have my transcripts sent elsewhere. I've got decent stats for emory (1550 old scale SAT, since they don't bother with writing much and 35 ACT, very few ECs though) If I don't get in, I'm applying Brown, Hopkins (both reach), GA Tech (safety)</p>
<p>Plan on studying Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology, which is one of Emory's biggest selling points as only a handful of my other schools offer neuroscience.</p>
<p>Oh, and I believe somebody has to PM an admin to have 2012 added, though from the looks of 2011, it won't be used much. Of course, a year from now, most of us will only be checking back very sporadically. We'll all probably be using facebook or learnlink to replace CC.</p>
<p>This is about to sound REALLY DUMB!....but when decisions come out I KNOW i wont be able to look directly at the page. Instead I'm going to the pay my admission deposit link if its still there but I cant do anything once I am there then I know that I wasn't accepted...... I know its dumb but thats the only way I will be able to check it online that morning (that or wait for the letter to come by mail). Is anyone else using a round about way to check decisions? ... or am I the only one?</p>

<p>@noelle08: I don't think I can do that to myself. That's going to make me even more nervous than if I click on the admission link directly to find out if I got accepted or not. Though that's an interesting way of finding out about your admission.</p>

<p>^^ thats funny, I never realized that, the one on my computer is 12:01 am (didnt use it for the last post though), but nevertheless, its still 4DAYS!!!........ I got a disturbing e-mail from the office of admission today stating: " All items must be in our office no later than 5pm on Tuesday, December11, 2007 in order for you to be considered for Early Decision 1.”..... But I called last week and they said everything was in and ready to be reviewed, Idk I guess I'm just confused. I’m going to call tomorrow.</p>
<p>We just got that too...and we are RD...they are very obsessed with that signature page being faxed....I have a feeling that was an e-mail sent to everyone...if you have everything in, the middle of the e-mail should be blank and you are fine....Check the middle of the e-mail and make sure there is nothing missing.....</p>

<p>Good luck guys! (again) Hmm...I didn't get an email either. I'm normally fairly OCD...but college brings me to a whole other level, haha. I feel like every little nuance makes me want to jump and be like WAH I'M NOT GOING TO COLLEGE! And Duke still says they haven't gotten my transcript...which was sent in September. Yay me.</p>
<p>I'm starting to get worried not so much that I will/won't go to Emory, but that if I get rejected I won't have time to apply to maybe one or two other schools, and not the ones I want because deadlines are too soon. Starting to rethink whether ED I was the smartest idea, even though Emory is my #1.</p>

<p>AZN: If I sent my transcript in Sept. and Duke didn't have it yet, I would go immediately to the office at school and send another one. It isn't going to be found at this point.</p>
