Early Decision!!!

Luckily (I guess), Emory deferred only a very small percent if any ED.

I think I'm going to be a bit ****ed if I get rejected. I've got decent stats (35 ACT, 1550 SAT (680 on new writing :( ), but a dearth of ECs) and I had canceled plans to do an early admittance program two years ago, b/c I knew Emory in particular wouldn't accept most of their credits.

Oh well, I'll find out in two days or so.

jmw123- what part of the country are you from? westcoast, midwest, etc.?

I still didn't receive an email from Emory. Who else didn't get an email?

uhh i dont even have those links...i just have an admissions link and when i click that, i only have campus registration, course catalog, and classes link, not check admissions decision or pay fee link. am i just being retarded?

I didnt get that e-mail either. Im begining to get nervous ( poss. sign of rejection? lol).... Im not going to stress it right now, I'll give it a day or so.

Anyone ask an Emory friend with access to LearnLink to check if there name is in the LL directory? I know I did a few days before ED 2 years ago.

You think it would be there? I'm too scared to ask, lol. I think I'll wait it out until tomorrow for my rejection. But for curiousity sakes, are the names there in LL right now? Anyone want to test it out?

dell123--what's your learnlink account. ill give you a cookie if i can use it to check for my name

i didnt get the e-mail and i dont have the "view decision" and "Pay Admissions Deposit Online" on my opus :(. Should i be worried?

You have to click on My Opus on the top right corner and click on New Window. A window will pop up up and you click on Admission and you should see the links.

Do as Mika08 said to get the links to vie decision, which last I checked, yielded nothing of importance.

Noelle, I live in the South. You know where Oxford of Emory is? Like 15 minutes away from there. (If you were asking because of how I said the credits wouldn't transfer, it's because Emory has a policy of not accepting any credits that were also used for high school, which of course includes 90% of early college programs; wasn't really an issue of accreditation)

Edit: I thought I didn't have the email, either. But I noticed it had been put in my spam folder in Gmail. Maybe you guys should check that.

Oh, and can somebody from Emory help us out and check the directory for some of us?

I am more than happy to check for anyone. Just PM me your name.

Dell123, you don't have to tell us names or anything but did you find anyone whose applying ED on the directory?

my friend at emory checked for my name wasn't there. did anybody else see if there's is there?

11 more hours!!!

This was a pretty challenging group to make a decision on. They went from saying adamantly that it was just Accept/Deny to Accept/Deny/Defer..... But either way good luck tonight all!!!!!

9 hours!!!

So wait, you can also be deferred now? What made them change their mind? Or was it always like that?

My brother was admitted to Emory as a Questbridge Scholar. He's on the learnlink directory. I am an alumni myself. I am tempted to check some of your names to see if they've populated your names in the directory. Don't know how ethical that is. Good luck to everyone!

Mika08- it was like that for previous years, but they wanted to change it for this year, I guess it didnt work. I cant blame them though, there were so many qualified applicants......bigsis-I wouldnt think that unethical at all (lol just playing), but that coming from someone who has been trying to find away around the system all day with no sucess:(

where did you hear that they decided to defer more applicants this yr, mika?
