Early Decision!!!

For the sake of future applicants, it'd be nice if everybody posted in the class of 2012 thread with their stats and their decision, even if rejected.

<a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/emory-university/432984-emory-university-class-2012-early-decision.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/emory-university/432984-emory-university-class-2012-early-decision.html</a></p>

This site has help curb a lot of stress for me, and I'm sure for a lot of others, so it'd be best if even rejected applicants post their stats (as nobody ever seems to) to give others more realistic chances.

edit: Oh yeah, I'M IN.

Congratulations!! I was rejected, but oh well. You guys deserved it, so I wish you the best of luck in Emory!!

I'm Going To College Baby

Mika, I'm sure you will end up going somewhere great. Best of luck to you!

I'm a bit confused about FinAid. Does anybody have anything listed for them? The Emory website implies some people will already have an est. award, unless they are missing something.

I feel so much better about applying ED, because I just saved myself a huge chunk of cash that would have been going into other applications! Emory C/O 2012. :)

Cellochick: I was worrying mostly about the same thing, too. (and then noticed how like half the emory students receive no finaid and are able to pay nearly $50k out of pocket a year; I feel so poor :))

Congratulations to all admits on a most excellent accomplishment!

jmw123: I know it! Crazy times like a million!! 12:02, January 1, it's FAFSA time! :)

Well, I got my acceptance in the mail this afternoon (live in Metro of Atlanta) and in fact, my estimated award was included. It was more or less what I expected (I'll only be coughing up like 1/4 of the actual cost through loans, work study, and contributions), though the EFC was about $2k or so higher than the collegeboard.com estimator put it at.

whoa how did you get the estimated award? mine didn't come with one

B/c I'm superfly?

I don't know, are you missing any things to send in? Or maybe they only have some finaid apps processed so far.

I did the CSS profile and mailed my parents' 06 tax 1040 like 2 days before the deadline and received an est. award.

hm.. thats weird. I sent all my CSS forms + faxing my 06 tax forms almost a week early. Maybe they just forgot to put it in my packet? Thanks

my estimated work award and loan is up on opus. i just checked. you could check again.
