Early Rejection Letter?

Hey guys,

I was talking to my friend today, and he said that his friend (who goes to my school and also got deferred by HumEc ED) got a rejection letter from Cornell last week.
Is this possible? Have you ever heard of an early rejection letter for a deferred applicant to Cornell?
I find that to be very strange... you'd think they'd wait till 3/31 to reject an applicant, especially a deferred one.
Thoughts?

never heard of it.... omg just the thought of receiving the letter makes me sick.

well it depends on his school...CALS and like Hotel Management or something already released decisions.

What was your friend's major in HE?

He's probably lying, altohugh i don't kmow why.

It was bad enough to run out to the mailbox hoping for that elusive thin envelope that could come before 3-31. Now we have to worry that the thin envelope has bad new, not good!!!! :( UGH

Actually that's not completely true. Colleges that have rolling admissions have sent early admissions letters to their applicants. However, they have NOT sent early rejection letters. Any rejection is sent out on March 31st along with all of the regular acceptances.

Don't take this to mean if you didn't receive a rolling acceptance you weren't accepted.

He applied to Biology and Society ED for HumEc.
I think I have to talk to him to see what really happened... this is bizarre.

I was deferred so I don't think deferred applicants get likely letters, lol.
