I AM IN SHOCK, TOO.
I just received mine and spent the past half hour dancing and screaming in circles around my house. I never, ever, ever expected to receive a likely letter from anyone!

Edit: I’m from NJ.

I AM IN SHOCK, TOO.
I just received mine and spent the past half hour dancing and screaming in circles around my house. I never, ever, ever expected to receive a likely letter from anyone!

Edit: I’m from NJ.

Got one too! SO EXCITED!! =D

34 ACT, 1/176 rank, 800 math 2, 750 bio, ib diploma candidate…I had no major awards or anything…super excited!

I live in NY by the way~

I’m praying to god ill get one.

Looks like the Northeast states are getting them first. Makes sense since they don’t have far to go. I live in the South so I’m keeping my fingers crossed. Congratulations to everyone else though! Y’all really deserve it!

Could any of the early write admits post a few more stats? Not everything, but stats such as ethnicity and hooks? I’ve heard that most early writes go out to athletes and URM’s and I was wondering if it was true.

Most recruited athletes have been accepted in the ED round (the coaches want absolute commitments which the ED demands…). Very few recruited athletes will be in the RD round–early write or not…

I received a likely letter today. I’m a recruited track athlete, African American, have a 1990SAT/29ACT and from NYC.

Congratulations to all who received early writes!

We know someone who was an URM and recruited athlete and he was deferred from the ED round. He had high stats. I’m guessing he may receive a likely if the coach has pull…

Is the envelope small?

Hurry up usps.

@qwerty1231 I’m a white girl from MD, 5/375 rank, 2300 SAT (740/760/800, 760 math 1, 730 chem) and pretty average extracurriculars, so I’m going to guess that essays played a part? Super surprised.

Chinese, NJ, 1/410 rank, 2330 SAT (800/800/730, 790 math ii, 730 lit, 730 us history), no major awards. It does seem like the essays played a major role.

I’ve heard that Asians are considered URMs at Williams (and other liberal arts colleges). Is it possible that that influenced my early admission? (still in disbelief!)

Hispanic, FL, 3/375, 2150 SAT (790 math, 640 reading, 720 writing), 800 Math I, 800 Math II, 690 Chemistry, and I didn’t even know about this early admission thing, ahahaha.

I’m so excited! Waiting for Johns Hopkins and Harvard now!

Florida? Well, guess that proves my theory wrong. Congratulations, thougt, Kwel1994!

someone asked about the envelope…its big and white with a purple congratulations sticker on the back. even if i get into Harvard RD, i’m picking Williams! (well i’m 90% sure of that lol)

Oh yeah, I didn’t even notice the purple sticker XD

I saw an envelope for Williams and my mom was like, “They sent you this in the mail. I’ve never heard of them before”. I opened it and saw a ton of pamphlets and thought they were asking me to apply or that it was a mistake, hahaha. I thought they all went out April 1st, but I guess a few came in early then?

well the second i saw the envelope i knew what it was, but i still freaked out because I was not expecting one at all lol. I really want to go. i loved that the admissions director wrote me a note about my app on the letter too it made it more special!

Someone in the other thread got one in CA. I’ve lost all hope of getting one now in MI :

dont because they just may not have gotten to your app just yet!

I thought I got one today until I took a better look at the giant envelope. Turns out it wasn’t even an envelope…just a giant dominoes coupon.
