Easier out of state?

<p>So I know Rice is a private school, but I heard from somebody that it is easier to get into out of state because they want to build their reputation, and accepting people from the northeast in particular will help. So is there any truth to this?</p>

<p>Ya, from what I have heard, that is very much true.</p>

<p>Yes, people who live farther away from Rice, tend to have an advantage, but you still need to have stats that are up to par with Rice’s standards.</p>
