Eating disorder & chances

Backstory: I began college in Fall 2009. Unfortunately I've had a shaky college career because of an undiagnosed eating disorder. I flunked my entire freshman year, but had the opportunity to redo it with mediocre grades the second time around (I think my GPA was around a 2.7). My third year (this past year) I was hospitalized and diagnosed with bipolar disorder, as well as bulimia. I have a mix of flunked and passed grades. The classes I did manage to pass, I got Bs in. Still I've been dismissed from my college.

In high school I had a 3.7 unweighted GPA.

I'm a film student too.

Anyway I'm going to rehab to work out my disorders. After I get out of rehab, I plan on going to community college, for at least a year, to straighten out my grades. I'm not sure I want to go back to the college I got dismissed from though.

What are the chances of getting into a decent film program?

I have a good reel, but my previous transcript from college is mared. If I can prove that I can do well at community college, do you think that'll make a difference?

I'm eying USC, but I doubt that's a real possibility. Is it a possibility? I want to be realistic here.

What are some good film programs that might be forgiving of me? Or am I totally screwed?

Thanks!

Anyone willing to help?

Honestly just do the best you can at community college. I think any state school in your state would accept you after seeing that you do well in community college. As long as they are confident that you are back on your feet for good, they will probably accept you
