I looked on Penn State's financial aid website and noticed that the college of science doesn't have an application for scholarships. Do they just automatically give you a scholarship based on your GPA ? Has anyone gotten a scholarship from them? I have a 3.93 GPA, this is my second semester at Penn State but my 4th overall because I transfered from another university. I'm a biology and geobiology major (I also applied for an EMS scholarship) and I'm currently at a branch campus but I will attend U-Park this fall. Being that U-Park is expensive and I'm not eligible for financial aid I would like a scholarship or two to help me get by.

I don’t mean to discourage you, but you would not qualify for the two main ECoS scholarships, the Braddock and the newly established millennium. The millennium is only given to incoming freshman (this has separate application procedure-google it). The braddock is chosen from SHC applicants indicating an interest in ECos majors.
There are other scholarships given out by the individual departments to upperclassmen whose performance is outstanding. Students who declared their major with a certain GPA are considered. Contact the biology dept asking them if there are any that you qualify for.
