Hey guys,

I just been made president of future med club because the club is basically "inactive" and has very few people. My job is to make the club popular and require more involvement of its members for an entire school year (frequent meetings). Also since theres almost no one in the club, I need something that will attract the upcoming freshmen and MAKE THEM STAY.

ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS?? CREATIVE ONES??

So far, I just have some basic ideas.. Here's what I HAVE:

Purpose of the club
-The purpose of the club is to act as a networking tool and resource for students interested in pursuing a career in health- or medical-related fields. The objective is to gain insight into these careers through regularly scheduled meetings, and interactions with medical professionals.
Inspire students to get interested in medicine and the medical field overall
Inform students about opportunities for pre-med/medical activities (EMT certification, CPR etc..)
Help students chose colleges for pre-med if they plan to go into those careers.
Let people have fun and explore any sort of issue which interests them

The activities in the club include:
Guest Speakers (Pre-med students or local doctors)
---Get doctors to speak about certain medical issues/anomalies
Debates on Medical Issues (about ethics in medicine or controversial issues)
Discussion of the Path to Medical School
Analysis of Medicine in Contemporary Media
Opportunities to volunteer at a hospital or field trips to hospitals
Fundraising for research in different health issues.
