Ecology House

So when I was going through and doing the housing application, I filled out the essay for themed housing not realizing it was optional. I called them and asked for it to be taken off a few weeks later because I didn't particularly want to live in themed housing, but I guess it didn't work because lo and behold, I log into the housing portal today and find I've been assigned to the Ecohouse! Anyway, so I don't really know much about it - I've been googling it and reading about it online but I'd love to hear opinions on it from current Cornellians - whether you've lived in it or not. Whats it like? What are the people in it like?

hmmm was eco house on your top choice? lol

eco house is all double rooms and each room has its own restroom (probably the best deal)

the eco house is full of science and natty resource kids. it is a bit further walk to campus and to the dining hall but as a frosh you get a bus pass.

When I was on that page I just put eco as my top choice out of all the themed housing since it was the most appealing one.

Anywho, I guess its good it’s full of science kids since I’m going to be a pre-vet animal science major. I did notice that it was waaaay at the top of campus, which totally sucks! Ah well, the exercise will be good for me. Do you happen to know if transfers get a bus pass their first year, or is that only for freshies?

good question…i think transfers do…not 100% sure
