Econ 1 2 or 3?</p>
<p>Econ 1 and 2 can be tough since they're pre-reqs for prospective Econ majors and Hass applicants. Pre-business and the econ major use GPA as a factor in admission to their program/major so people in these classes strive for high grades.</p>
<p>Curves are established based according to your GSIs in most econ classes. So that means you're competing with the people in your sections and the not the entire class as a whole. GSIs with easier grading standards have less of a curve, harder ones more of a curve.
I'm not sure what major pre-req Econ 3 satisfies though.</p>
<p>If you are not interested in the stuff in 3, dont take it just because it is easier.</p>
<p>I am not sure but I think 3 does not cover macro.</p>
