<p>I am a UCLA transfer admit for the incoming Fall Quarter 2012.</p>
<p>Should I take MCDEVITT or CORTES QUIROZ, E.G for Econ 11 this summer?</p>
<p>What grade did you get in the course?</p>
<p>Any advice will be appreciated! :)</p>
<p>McDevitt is a somewhat notorious instructor for being very, very good in prepping you and thorough - but at the same time, that means he is difficult.</p>
<p>Cortes is/was a grad student and I had him as a TA before. You can’t really understand his English, but going off of other classes, summer school classes with TA’s (especially first time instructors), are usually very easy.</p>
<p>Is Cortes a hard grader or more on the lenient side? Does he curve?
Can you also learn anything from him or is he helpful at all since his English isn’t clear?
Is he avaliable during office hours?</p>
<p>If you could choose, which would you take?</p>
