I am going to be a transfer student to CAL fall 09 as an econ major. I want to do accounting in the future. Does anyone know how hard it is to get into the accounting classes at Haas as a non-haas student during the school year? and how hard the classes will be?

Also I want to get a head start on some of the econ classes this summer. Will the classes be easier or harder during the summer for say, Econ 100B?

Thanks for any input!

You should have no problems getting into BA 102A and 102B at the very least. They are very easy compared to engineering classes, but it’s hard to say without knowing your strengths and weaknesses. The rule for doing well is to work out as many practice problems as possible to familiarize yourself with all the different scenarios.

Thank you that is good to know. I will hopefully be on track with all the accounting classes needed for the CPA the next two years without any problems.

Does anyone know how rigourous ECON 100B is during the summer compared to the school year?
