econ

Is Econ 1 and 2 sequential? I was going to do econ 1 but it is all full and econ 2 has openings. Flopsy said i do not need to know anything from econ 1, can anyone else confirm this?

my OC at orientation told me that you can take econ 2 without taking econ 1. However, she urged me not to take it because it is a hard class, especially for a freshman's first quarter.

if flopsy said it, you can assume it's true...(most of the time :D)

if you're still worried...econ 1 and 2 are just micro and macro econ...you can learn either in any order

They are not sequential. At some schools, you actually take econ 2 (macro) first, and econ 1 (micro) second.

For Econ 2 Don't take Jack Hou. That guys a homo, all he does is talk about how great China is...how they have the greatest economy, people, etc...then he starts talking about his wife, dogs, job at CSULB...basically never talks about econ 2

You'd be surprised how many Economics professors here will digress about China's future economic hegemony during their lectures. It's endemic to most liberal strongholds.

the advice "dont take econ 2 with jack hou" is bad because to my knowledge, jack hou is the ONLY professor who has been teaching econ 2 for the past few years. there's no way around him. but really, he's not that bad.

macro econ is the best. less specifics. lots of fun.

well it's true...visit your local McDonalds

i liked both macro and micro....if only biz econ wasn't so competitive, i would've thought about it..
