For those who have taken Econ 2

I'm planning on taking econ2 fall quarter (im an incoming freshman). I checked the registrar's schedule and it said that Jack Hou was the only professor teaching that class this fall. I looked up this professor on bruinwalk, and it turns out he is pretty horrible. So now I'm in somewhat of a dilemna. Should I take econ 2 first quarter, or should I wait to take it later, so that hopefully i can get a better professor. Btw, I leave for orientation tomorrow night, so I would need to resolve this as soon as possible.

Also any comments on this tentative first quarter schedule:
Chem 20A/14A (not sure which one, I'm pre med)
GE Cluster- Either Global Economy or US politics, society, and culture (depending upon availability)
Econ 2 (what should I take instead of this? I'm premed and pre bizecon)

Is that schedule too difficult or is it just about right?

Your schedule load is just right for a first quarter. I've never had Professor Hou, but Econ 2 is not hard by any stretch. Have you considered taking Econ 1 instead, followed by Econ 2 in Winter Quarter?

I'm taking econ 1 during summer session c

premed and prebiz eh?

looks like you're all in it for the cheddah.

if you look at the schedule for the year, Hou is the only guy teaching econ 2.

Better buy some review books if he's gonna suck.

anybody else with some suggestions?
