<p>What majors/education tracks would you recommend to somebody who wants to be an economic/financial journalist?</p>
<p>The son of a friend is doing just that. He had an undergrad major in something like philosophy, worked for a year, and then got a master’s in journalism. He has a very, very good job that he got right out of grad school a couple of years ago. He had relevant internships while in grad school. In journalism, there are many routes to the same destination.</p>
<p>Thank you, I am thinking of doing finance/economics reporting. So as undergraduate major, finance/economics would be better than journalism itself? Or I can do double major? Thanks</p>
