Economics and Music Double Major

I am a prospective Music and Economics double major at Georgetown with a few questions:

Is it hard to get accepted into both these majors simultaneously?

How much of a difficult path is this to take at Georgetown?

Will this path be helpful for a career in music?

What is the music scene like for student bands (both official an unofficial) on campus and in the surrounding area?

I've posted this on a couple of college forums by now hoping to compare schools to each other based on what people respond to my post with. Thanks for the help.

What’s the point of double majoring in two completely unrelated areas? Not trying to offend you…it just doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. If you’re interested in a career in music, then what does Econ have to do with anything?

My goal is to learn everything I can in both fields, then make the connections between them on my own.

I’m also interested in starting a student band… is there any scene in georgetown?
