Can anyone vouch/attest for the political science programs at Fordham University? Since I got accepted to the economics program at Fordham Lincoln Center I was hoping for responses in regards to Lincoln Center but Rose Hill students might also want to know how the programs are at Rose Hill so I will keep this thread open for both LC and RH students! =)

I asked my friend today who is a senior majoring in political science at Rose Hill. She said she was very pleased with the department, as she has had many great professors. She said she thinks the department also uses Fordham’s NYC location to its advantage. I’m sure it’s similar at LC.

You aren’t accepted to a specific program, but rather are considered Undeclared (Economics) until you declare (spring of sophomore year).

Personally, I have only taken one professor in Political Science and he is one of my favorites. Quite a few people vouch for other professors. I wouldn’t say it is an amazing program or department, but there are great professors.

It is also worthy to note that International Political Economy (IPE Program) is based/offered at Rose Hill. The Lincoln Center equivalent is International Studies. Of course, you can still take IPE, but you will be dealing with Rose Hill.

You’ll realize that while LC has the better location, it has a smaller student body and the academics are not as good as RH. Of course, you can take classes at RH, but it isn’t a fun commute to do a few times a week.

I can continue ranting on this, but I’ll stop. Fordham LC has a good department and program.
