Economics in Canada or U.S?

Hi everyone, i am interested in majoring in Economics and currently live in British Columbia, Canada. I plan on transferring to Simon Fraser University which seems to have a very adequate Economics program, however I've just been offered from a family member residing in Utah, United States to apply for the Economics program there and they will cover my tuition fees. My problem is that although i'm taking a student loan here in B.C i have done research on the University of Utah and noticed that the program is not very highly regarded in comparison with other Economic programs around the world. Am i not looking at the right data or would i be justified in staying in Canada where i am totally satisfied with the University program but do require financial assistance, where as at University of Utah the program does not seem to be comparable but i will have my tuition paid for? Please any opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Do you plan on moving to the US? Otherwise, any regional benefits (connections within the field) you’d get from being in Utah are mostly moot. I’d stay at SFU, if the loan isn’t too large, and get the best education you can, as if you don’t plan on grad school, it’s important to get the most out of your undergrad experience.
