Mcgill vs U of T (Toronto) vs UBC for Economics

Hi, I’m a first year student at University of Victoria. I’m planning to transfer to either Mcgill, U of T or UBC and I believe I have a pretty good chance in any of those since my gpa is pretty good.

My question is this: I’m majoring in Economics and I would appreciate if you could help me choose which would be the best school for Economics among them (in terms of reputation (national and international), academics, faculties and so on)

Thanks!

U of T has the best international reputation. However UBC and McGill are not far behind. U of T is also competitive to get into economics in second year. Not everyone is admitted to the program. If you set your sights on U of T, make sure you get admitted to the economics specialist program.

If you get into all 3 programs, I would choose based on where you want to live. Have you visited the universities?
