<p>I want to doble major biology and economics.. I know that JHU has the best biology program, but I am wondering about the strength of economics department in Johns Hopkins.. Can anyone please tell me about the economics in JHU?</p>
<p>what type of economics are you interested in? business-oriented, or grad-school-oriented? the economics at JHU isn't that great - for example, look at the catalog and examine the requirements for a biology major. then, look at the requirements for an econ major. also, the department on the whole is pretty conservative; the stats for admission to econ grad school are largely non-existent since very few econ majors do go on to grad school. what little stats can be found are not that impressive either.<br>
it really depends on what you want to do with your double major, and which program you are more interested in.</p>
